A week full of a wide variety of traditional and popular activities for the whole family
The Department of Festivities of the City Council of Pájara presents the program for the festivities in honor of San Juan 2025 in the town of Ajuy. The festivities will begin today with a week full of activities for all ages, culminating with the traditional night of San Juan and its spectacular fireworks.
The program of events includes a varied recreational and cultural offer, designed for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. Among the activities are craft workshops, sports tournaments, a sweet dessert tasting, a treasure hunt, children’s gala and gala for seniors. There will also be a craft market and open-air dances, elements that will contribute to revitalize the festive atmosphere.
The councilman of Festivities, Juan José Viera, expresses his satisfaction with the celebration of the festivities of San Juan in Ajuy. “We have prepared a very complete program, thinking about the participation of all ages and the recovery of our traditions”. He also adds that “the collaboration with the Cabildo of Fuerteventura in the program ‘Do not forget what is ours’ is an example of our commitment to the culture and heritage of the Canary Islands”.
The highlight of the festivities will take place on the night of June 23 with the great fireworks display, an event that will commemorate the eve of St. John’s Day. The closing of the festivities will take place on Tuesday, June 24 at 5:00 p.m. with the solemn religious function in his honor.
