Andrés González Francés, born in Morro Jable in 1951, is a prominent poet majorero whose works are characterized by a constant dedication to extol the identity and values of Fuerteventura. His life and professional career includes work as a civil servant, trade unionist, councilman of the municipality of Pájara and sailor, bringing to his work an enriched and committed vision. Among his most outstanding publications are ‘Cuarenta Sentimientos’, ‘Pájara en verso’, ‘Pasiones a la Deriva’, ‘Vivencias y Pensamientos’ and ‘De Greguerías y Haikus’, in addition to a relevant narrative work and collective collaborations. In addition, there is a valuable collection of 228 unedited poems, which shows the breadth and depth of his literary legacy.
