Councilwoman Lucía Darriba highlights the importance of education for employment and local development
Pájara Town Council participated in the graduation ceremony organized by Ecca.eduwhich took place last Tuesday June 24 at the Youth Island Center of Fuerteventura. On behalf of the Consistory, attended by the Councillor for Training, Employment and Local Development, Lucia Darriba, who congratulated the students for their effort, perseverance and commitment to training.
The councilor highlighted the importance of education as a tool for personal and professional transformation. “Betting on education is betting on a more prepared municipality, with more opportunities and an empowered citizenry,” she said.
He also added that “from the Consistory we will continue to support this type of initiatives that open paths towards employment and social inclusion”.
The graduation brought together students from different localities of the island who successfully completed their training through the flexible educational model. In total, 48 people graduated in Compulsory Secondary Education and 19 people graduated in Baccalaureate, of which five are from the municipality of Pájara.
The event was also a celebration of the shared effort of teachers, family members and collaborating institutions.
