The initiative seeks to improve the environmental excellence, quality and safety of public spaces.

The City Council of Pájara, through the Department of Beaches, has taken a further step in its firm commitment to environmental excellence and quality of its beaches by installing a total of nine new information panels on the various beaches of the municipality that have the distinctive Blue Flag. The total investment in the installation of these panels has been 29,700 euros, which reflects the commitment of the consistory to maintain this recognition, which guarantees the quality of the water and the services offered on the beaches.

The new panels have been installed on the beaches of Morro Jable, Buthiondo, Matorral and Costa Calma, and are intended to meet the requirements of the Blue Flag program, ensuring that users have the necessary information on awareness campaigns. These panels include key data such as emergency numbers and a map where different points of interest are located, pictograms indicating the rules of conduct and prohibitions, as well as the services available, such as shaded areas, restrooms and accessibility points for people with reduced mobility.

The councilman of Beaches, Raimundo Dacosta, has reported that the bet of the government group is to continue progressively improving our beaches. “This is another step towards sustainability, safety and quality of our public spaces. Our beaches are one of the main tourist attractions of the municipality and, at the same time, a place of enjoyment for our residents, “he said.

The municipality of Pájara remains one of the municipalities of the Canary Islands with a total of four Blue Flags, a recognition that values both the environmental quality and the services offered to residents and visitors.
