The City Council of Pájara presents the program of the festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen 2025, which will take place in Morro Jable from July 4 to 16. An extensive calendar of activities that combines seafaring tradition, local culture and entertainment for all audiences.

The festivities begin tomorrow, Friday, July 4, with the opening speech by Jeremías de León, an emblematic figure linked to the sea and local history, followed by a tribute to Joaquín Sabina and live music by the bands Los 600 and Sin Filtro.

Throughout the days you can enjoy a variety of activities, from the summer party on the beach of Morro Jable, the traditional openwork, pilgrimage, festivals, board games, themed shows such as Mexican Night and the tribute ‘Forever Selena’, to sporting and cultural events such as the exhibition of Canarian wrestling or chess match.

The councilman of Festivities, Juan José Viera, stresses the importance of keeping alive the essence of Morro Jable with these celebrations. “These festivities are a reflection of the soul of our town, where tradition, music and coexistence go hand in hand so that neighbors and visitors enjoy a unique atmosphere,” he says.

For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, highlights the commitment of the City Council with “our customs and traditions”. “The festivities of Carmen are an opportunity to strengthen our identity and celebrate our seafaring roots.” Also, the mayor invites all citizens and visitors to actively participate in each of the activities.

Among the highlights, on Tuesday, July 15 at 21:30 pm, will be held the concert of the singer Beret, one of the most recognized artists of the current music scene, which promises to fill with excitement the square of Los Pescadores de Morro Jable. After the concert, the festival will continue with performances by the group Nuevo Klan and the orchestras Grupos Bomba and New Sabrosa Band.

The festivities will conclude on Wednesday July 16 with the traditional Diana Floreada, with the Band of Agaete, and the solemn religious function and procession in honor of Our Lady of Carmen, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Pájara and the maritime procession, putting the finishing touch with several musical performances.
