The site will have a multifunctional area, bleachers for 600 people, gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, changing rooms, cafeteria and offices, all with an accessible and sustainable design.
The City Council of Pájara awards the contract for the drafting of the execution project of the future Sports Center of Costa Calma for a total amount of 160,500 euros.
The work will be carried out in the D5 industrial estate of the Cañada del Río urbanization, next to the soccer field. The technical team will have eight months from the signing of the contract to deliver the design.
The first deputy mayor and councilman of Works, Alexis Alonso, points out that “this infrastructure will not only expand the sports offer of the municipality, but will also contribute to the urban growth of Costa Calma”. He also explains that “the complex will occupy an area of about 4,000 square meters and will include an enclosure prepared for different sports disciplines, bleachers for 600 people, gym, multipurpose rooms, changing rooms, cafeteria and offices, all designed with accessibility and sustainability criteria”.
For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, values the performance as part of the municipal strategy of “providing Costa Calma with a modern, accessible and adapted to the needs of the municipality sports facility”. He adds that “this will be a place for all residents to practice sports and enjoy healthy activities”.
The Councilor for Sports, José Benito Alonso, stresses the importance of this new infrastructure being a sports space for everyone. “The facilities will be adapted for people with reduced mobility and designed to offer a complete experience for athletes, the public and the staff working here,” he says.
With this award, the City Council of Pájara advances in the technical planning necessary to execute this infrastructure. This phase is key to ensure that the final design meets the real needs of use, complies with current regulations and is executed with maximum guarantees of quality and safety.
