The City Council of La Oliva, through the Department of Local Development, managed by Alexandra Martín, hosts the first meeting of the Canarian Employability Network (REC) in the municipality. Thus, the Plenary Hall of the Consistory receives the cooperative work network that works in search of the improvement of the possibilities of labor insertion, taking advantage of the heterogeneous and multidisciplinary character of the team of professionals that integrate it. Among the members of this group are the entities and organizations that work in the field of orientation and employment in the Canary Islands.
The area of Local Development of the City Council participates actively since 2022 in the REC of Fuerteventura along with other public and private entities and groups that aim to employment and / or self-employment. This meeting not only allows to continue with the regular team meetings that are held every two months, but also establishes a space in which to promote the participation of the REC in the next employment days to be held from the Consistory, through different proposals and ideas to generate profitable days.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, expresses the need to continue working together with the RED to improve the employability of the inhabitants of the municipality: “From the City Council it is essential to continue betting on a space for dialogue between the Administration and the Canarian Employability Network in order to make available to all residents of the municipality the resources that allow not only to find employment, but also one that is closer, to a greater extent, to their concerns and interests”.
For its part, the Councillor for Local Development, Alexandra Martin, said: “The municipal participation in this meeting of the network, ensures first-hand information of all services that exist in Fuerteventura in employment and to transfer it to all users who pass through the area of Local Development”.
