On Wednesday, April 30, the CEIP Pablo Neruda of Puerto del Rosario will be the scene of a new edition of Saborea Puerto del Rosario, an initiative that promotes the consumption of local products and highlights the work of the primary sector of the municipality.
The activity, aimed at students, will take place between 10:00 and 13:00 hours. Through a traveling stand, schoolchildren will have the opportunity to learn about the richness of the products of the municipality and the efforts of its producers.
The initiative is promoted by the Department of the Primary Sector of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario, in collaboration with the public company Gestión del Medio Rural de Canarias (GMR Canarias), under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty of the Government of the Canary Islands. It is part of the regional strategy Crecer Juntos (Growing Together) and the VolcanicXperience brand, which are committed to local consumption and the promotion of the islands’ products.
The City Council thus reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, support for professionals in the primary sector and the training of new generations in values such as responsible consumption and respect for local traditions.
The students of CEIP Pablo Neruda are invited to participate in this day of approach to the flavors and traditions of Puerto del Rosario.
