The event will be held next Thursday with workshops for schoolchildren and families.
Next Thursday, April 10, will be held in Tarajalejo the School Fair Fuerteventura Centro-Sur, a day dedicated to health, emotional well-being and healthy lifestyle habits, with activities aimed at both schoolchildren and the general public.
During the morning, the event will focus on children between 7 and 12 years of age from schools in the municipality, who will participate in more than 25 workshops on oral health, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, nutrition, mindfulness, sports, mental health and much more. A Solidarity Race is also planned under the slogan “Steps that unite, hearts that help”.
In the afternoon, from 16:00 to 19:00 hours, the fair will open its doors to families and the general public, with yoga masterclass, family activities, healthy dishes contest and a surprise musical performance to close the day.
The councilman of Education, David Herrera, stressed the importance of this meeting: “we want the educational community and families to live an educational experience, fun and full of positive values. This fair shows that health is also educated from the coexistence and participation”.
The mayor of Tuineje, Candelaria Umpiérrez, has pointed out the cross-cutting nature of this initiative: “from the City Council we continue to support activities that promote the welfare of our citizens. This fair reflects the joint work of schools, associations, health professionals and volunteers”.
The School Fair Fuerteventura Centro-Sur has the collaboration of the Health Services Management of the Fuerteventura Health Area, the Red Cross, the Nursing College of Las Palmas, various NGOs, sports clubs and schools in the area.
