The City Council of La Oliva, through Suministros de Agua La Oliva, makes available, for the first time, its Municipal Desalination Plant for the realization of practices of the students of the Formative Cycle of Medium Grade Technician in Networks and Water Treatment Stations that teaches the IES Corralejo. This action will allow to approach the work in this public capital entity, the processes and the day to day, something essential so that the students can not only put into practice what they have learned during the degree, but also get to know closely the working world they face after their studies.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, says: “From the City Council is proud to receive as internship students to the students of the degree of Plumbing in an entity such as Suministros Agua La Oliva. We wish that their internship stay will be most enriching, allowing them to learn more about what they have learned during the last months in the classroom, while they get in touch with the reality of the working world.”
For his part, the deputy mayor and president of Salosa, Julio Santana, points out: “This is the first time that the facilities of Suministros de Agua La Oliva are made available to undergraduate students so that students can conclude, with practical training, all the theory learned during the last months. This is a great opportunity for the young people to learn more about the entity and take their first steps within their work sector.”
Finally, Santana adds, “We encourage other companies, both public and private, to give students the opportunity to do internships, since today’s students will be tomorrow’s professionals.”
