The City Council organizes different events that will take place from Monday, April 21, until April 27.
The City Council of Pajara, through the Department of Festivities, presents the program of events for the festivities in honor of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in La Lajita, to be held from Monday, April 21, until April 27, with a planning full of tradition, sports, culture and activities for the whole family.
The councilman of Festivities, Juan José Viera, invites citizens to enjoy this festival that is designed for all ages. “During these days, the town will host soccer tournaments for children and adults, traditional games by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, as well as exhibitions of various forms of wrestling, among other activities,” he says.
Also, Juan José Viera thanked the Festivities Commission, as well as technicians and municipal staff who have worked to carry out this program.
The program also includes a Scale in Hifi for children and adults, and various dance performances by the companies of the municipality, a children’s gala and various shows for all audiences. In addition, throughout the week there will be attractions for the entertainment of young and old.
One of the most anticipated moments will come on Friday, April 25, from 20:00 hours, with the celebration of the II Encuentro de Cuerdas, which will feature performances by the groups El Callao, the Agrupación Folclórica San Antonio Abad La Florida and La Serená.
On Saturday, April 26, from 2:00 pm, the Birón Fest will be held, a festive event aimed especially at young people, with music and an atmosphere designed for the enjoyment of all.
As a finale, on Sunday, April 27, will be held the religious function and procession in honor of the patron saint, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Pájara, followed by a party for the elderly.
