Resounding success at the start of Caleta Sound Fest
More than 6,000 people gathered at Playa del Castillo on the opening night of the festival, exceeding all expectations.

The first renewed edition of Caleta Sound Fest, held this Friday August 1 on the beach of the Castle, has achieved a historic attendance, exceeding 6,000 people, and setting an absolute record for the opening of the festival.
Organized by the City Council of Antigua from the Department of Tourism, says the mayor, Matias Peña Garcia, we managed to recover after five years of absence of the Beach Party with a new format, modern and renovated with Caleta Sound Fest.
From the first moment adds the Councillor for Tourism, Kristina Rodewig, Caleta Sound Fest started in the best of environments, from 17:00 hours with performances by Alma Rebelde, Eclipse Reggae, Paradise – Tribute to Coldplay, and closed the night with Luck Ra, one of the greatest exponents of Latin American urban pop, closing this first day of Festival, the DJ Abian Reyes, who kept the energy high until the early hours of the morning.
To meet this unusual influx, which exceeds expectations, exceeding on the first night the 6.000 attendees Caleta Sound Fest deployed a main stage with distinct areas for the general public and areas reserved for people with reduced mobility, a modern gastronomic area, violet point information, wide access, plus security reinforced by the Local Police of Antigua, Civil Guard, firefighters, medical ambulances and private security, to which is added, says Rodewig, night transport services, cabs and buses extended that facilitated the mobility of attendees.
The festival continues this Saturday, August 2 with a program that starts at 12:00 noon with live music for more than 12 hours, including Aseres, Miss Band, Qué Chimba, Da Igual, and the expected closing by Chambao, followed by DJ Supersonikka.
