The well-known photographer from Puerto del Rosario, Rafael Morales, returns to the Casa de la Cultura of Puerto del Rosario with a new exhibition that transcends the image to become an emotional and cultural testimony of an entire city: “Puerto del Rosario”, where he presents photographs that show fragments of life, corners with soul and faces that define the human heartbeat of the capital of Puerto del Rosario”.
“This project was born to recognize and pay tribute to many people,” says Morales.
“Not only to those who appear in the images or in the video that accompanies the exhibition, but also to all the artists whose work embellishes this city, in which I have been registered for 40 years and residing in the neighborhood of Los Pozos”.
Rafael Morales photographs not only with his eyes, but also with his memory.
His camera captures the evolution of the urban landscape of a modern and renewed city. All this is part of the visual story that the artist wants to share with Fuerteventura.
In every corner, in every intervened wall, in every human figure or everyday detail, Morales sees a story that deserves to be told. Because in everything he sees, he sees a photograph. His work is a visual hymn to coexistence, to local talent, and to the
transformation of a city that has not stopped growing without losing its essence.
