Puerto del Rosario reinforces its security with new equipment for emergencies and maritime rescue
Share on Facebook

The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the area of Emergencies, has presented on Thursday, June 5th, the new specialized equipment for interventions in emergency situations and maritime rescue. This acquisition reaffirms the commitment of the consistory with the safety of citizens, especially in the coastal environment and nautical activities.

The new equipment includes a Zodiac type boat, a state-of-the-art marine drone for rescue operations at sea and fast propulsion water turbines. These tools are integrated into the daily operations of the municipal fire department, which has already received specific technical training in their use.

In addition, the initiative has counted with the collaboration of the technical coordinator of the City Council of La Oliva, who has given training sessions both to the staff of the fire department of Puerto del Rosario and to the students of the intermediate cycle of Health Transport of the IES Majada Marcial. This collaborative approach also strengthens inter-municipal links in emergency matters and contributes to the practical training of future professionals in the sector.

David de Vera, mayor of Puerto del Rosario, stressed that “the safety of our coasts and the capacity to respond quickly to emergencies are absolute priorities for this City Council. This investment in technology and training shows that we are committed to a prepared and resilient city. We are especially grateful for the collaboration with the City Council of La Oliva and the commitment of the trainers and local firefighters for their involvement in this process.”

For her part, the Councilor for Contracting, María Franco, emphasized that “this acquisition is the result of efficient management of public resources. We are committed to investments that generate a real impact on people’s lives, and guaranteeing an effective response to emergencies is one of them. We will continue working to provide our services with the best possible means, with transparency and accountability.”

The City Council of Puerto del Rosario will continue working to expand and improve the resources available for security and citizen protection, with a vision focused on prevention, professionalization and institutional cooperation.
