From July 3 to 12, 35 establishments will compete for the prizes for the best tapa, in an event that stimulates trade and hospitality in the municipality.
One of the most anticipated gastronomic events of the municipal calendar is back: the 6th Tapas Route of Puerto del Rosario, to be held from July 3 to 12, with activities scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
In this edition, a total of 35 establishments of the municipality will participate in this delicious tour, offering their best culinary creations in tapa format. These will compete for the awards that recognize local gastronomic excellence:
- Platinum Cap: 1.000 €.
- Gold Cap: 750 €.
- Silver Cap: 500 €.
- Bronze Cap: 250 €.
The real driving force of the event will be the people on the route, who will be able to taste the tapas and vote for their favorites. Among those who participate and complete the route, more than 40 prizes will be raffled, making this route a fun, tasty and participatory experience.
“The Tapas Route is an initiative that is already part of the gastronomic and cultural calendar of the municipality. It is an exceptional showcase for the creativity and talent of our hospitality professionals, while boosting the local economy and promoting local tourism,” said Mayor David de Vera, who encouraged all citizens to enjoy the event.
For her part, the Councilor for Commerce, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, stressed that “this event not only supports the catering sector, but also boosts the visibility of small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, it encourages responsible consumption, social gatherings and the enhancement of our gastronomic identity”.
The Tapas Route continues to consolidate itself as a platform for new talents. A clear example is the restaurant A Mi Manera Gastrobar, winner of the last edition, which had the opportunity to represent Puerto del Rosario in the prestigious National Contest of Tapas and Pinchos in Valladolid.
This initiative is a firm commitment of the Department of Commerce to promote local commerce, the creation of unique tourist experiences and the promotion of the gastronomic culture of the municipality.
