The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Tourism, thanks all the people, tourism professionals, associations, groups, companies, media and all those who, in one way or another, have contributed to the previous cruise season has met the planned objectives.
Last season, the Tourist Information Office ( OIT ), located on the maritime avenue, served a total of 29,534 people, while the Lime Kilns Interpretation Center ( CIHC ) in El Charco received 3,544 visitors.
Making a comparison, we find that in the 2023/2024 season there were 307,640 cruise passengers and 117 stopovers. While in the 2024/2025 season there were 451,119 passengers and 181 stopovers. Therefore, there has been a variation in the number of passengers of 47% ( 143,479 ) and 55% in the number of calls ( 64 ). This shows that the interest of shipping companies to visit Puerto del Rosario is increasing, with the options of tasting the local gastronomy, shopping, enjoying the sculpture park and murals, visiting the exhibitions of the Casa de la Cultura, the Centro de Arte Juan Ismael or the Casa Museo Unamuno, making routes through the municipality, on foot, by bicycle or scooter, along with excursions around the island as other options.
The next cruise season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 09, 2025 and ends on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
For the mayor, David de Vera, “it has been a good season and we are already prepared for the next one, being aware of the importance of cruise tourism for Puerto del Rosario, and the island as a whole, with a quality tourist of a medium-high level”.
The Councilor for Tourism, Rosa Rodriguez, said that “we plan each season with the intention of meeting the demands of those who visit us, combining information on paper and in digital format, along with other key actions such as promoting the municipality in various fairs, activities and events, school visits or the reception of organized groups.
The Tourist Information Office ( OIT ) is open in the morning and afternoon, without interruption, to serve not only cruise passengers, but also other visitors who come to know Puerto del Rosario, or residents who need additional information.
