The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, reports the publication of the tender for the contracting of the Surveillance Service, Lifeguard and Lifeguarding on the beaches of the municipality.
This tender, which will remain on public exhibition until September 1, 2025, contemplates important improvements aimed at reinforcing safety and attention to users of the municipality’s beaches.
Among the main novelties is the extension of the service period on the beaches of Playa Blanca and Los Molinos, thus guaranteeing greater coverage during more months of the year in these areas of high demand.
Distribution of the service by beaches:
Playa Blanca
- From February 1 to April 30: 4 lifeguards (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
- From May 1 to October 31: 6 lifeguards (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
- Los Pozos
- From May 1 to October 31: 2 lifeguards (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
- From November 1 to April 30: 2 lifeguards (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
- Los Molinos
- From March 1 to October 31: 3 lifeguards (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
For the mayor, David de Vera, “the safety of the beaches of the municipality is one of the key points to provide the best possible service to both residents and visitors, as they are public spaces that can be used throughout the year.
The Councilwoman of Beaches, Toñi Fdez Aragón, highlighted “along with the surveillance and salvamaneto, maintenance and improvement work being carried out in the various infrastructures of the beaches of the municipality, requesting the cooperation of citizens for the proper use of them.
The Councilor for Contracting, Maria Franco, said that “we consider it a priority to maintain safety on our beaches and also ensure maximum transparency in the bidding process for the service to be developed with maximum guarantees”.
As part of this initiative, the Department of Beaches has also promoted the updating of the Safety Plans, as well as the maintenance of the necessary standards to maintain the Blue Flags, reaffirming the City Council’s commitment to excellence, sustainability and safety in the use of coastal areas.
