A free educational proposal promoted by Fundación Cibervoluntarios to learn digital skills in a creative, safe and fun way.

The Youth Department of the City Council of Pájara announces the opening of the registration period for the Digital Camp, an initiative promoted by the Fundación Cibervoluntarios. It is an innovative program of extracurricular activities, in person and free of charge, which aims to strengthen the digital skills of children and adolescents between 9 and 17 years old.

This initiative is part of the Digital Skills for Children Program (CODI), promoted by the Ministry of Youth and Children and financed by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds.

The councilman of Youth, Juan José Viera, highlights the relevance of this program for the personal and academic development of children. “Promoting digital literacy from an early age is a commitment to equal opportunities and the integral progress of our children and youth. Initiatives like this help us to prepare the new generations to face the challenges of the digital environment safely and responsibly,” he says.

During the month of July, the Digital Camp will be held in the morning, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, at the Cosmo Shopping Center, located at Avenida del Saladar, 3. The program will be structured by age groups: from July 7 to 11, children aged 9 to 11 will participate; from July 14 to 18, it will be the turn of young people aged 12 to 13; and from July 21 to 25, adolescents aged 14 to 17 will attend. In each group, games, challenges and dynamics adapted to their learning stage will be carried out, promoting the positive and creative use of digital tools.

For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, stresses that “carrying out actions aimed at young people, which value the importance of new technologies, especially in this summer time, is not only a form of entertainment, but also a learning opportunity that will be especially useful once the training action ends”.

From the City Council of Pájara all families are encouraged to enroll their sons and daughters in this training experience that will allow them to develop with confidence and autonomy in the digital world. Registrations are already open and can be made free of charge through the following link: Enroll your child in Campamento Digital for free!
