From June 23 to 28, the Morro Jable soccer field will host this sporting event aimed at children from different clubs in the municipality.
The Department of Sports of the City Council of Pájara announces the celebration of the X Campus UD Las Palmas, which will take place from June 23 to 28 at the Morro Jable Football Field. This new edition comes with an important novelty: the increase in capacity to 100 places, thus expanding the opportunities for participation. In addition, registration remains completely free, reaffirming the commitment of the consistory with grassroots sport.
The campus, organized in collaboration with Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, is aimed at boys and girls who practice this sport in the municipality, who will be able to enjoy a week of technical training and sports values, guided by specialized coaches.
The councilman of Sports, José Benito Alonso, highlights “the pride of Pájara to host this tenth edition of the campus, which has established itself as a benchmark for grassroots sport on the island”. Also, the councilman adds “the great opportunity it represents for our young talents of the clubs of the municipality. From the Consistory we continue to promote initiatives that encourage the sporting and personal development of our children.
For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, values sport as a key tool to form not only athletes, but also committed and responsible people. “The support of the City Council together with entities such as Unión Deportiva Las Palmas allows us to offer young people spaces where they can grow, learn and build values that will accompany them in their lives.”
Registrations will be managed through the local sports clubs: UD Playas de Sotavento, UD Jandía and European Football Academy, in charge of coordinating the participation of young athletes.
This campus not only offers technical training, but also promotes values such as companionship, respect, self-improvement and teamwork, contributing to the integral growth of the participants on and off the playing field.
