The municipality of Betancuria is developing a gardening project for the care and beautification of the environment and for the care of the palm trees. The aim of the project is in the maintenance work with pruning and preventive treatments to specimens of palm trees. They are those that are in the historic center of the town of Betancuria.
In addition, in this process, rodent protection devices are installed in the palm trees located in the downtown area.
In addition to preventive care and treatment, the City Council places special emphasis on the beautification of the area. Therefore, the project includes the planting and conditioning of the planters. This is an implementation project of customized street furniture to be placed in the historic center of the town of Betancuria.
