The City Council of La Oliva, through the Department of Public Safety, led by the Mayor, Isaí Blanco, and in collaboration with the Department of Personnel, led by Alexandra Martín, culminate the process of internal promotion of the Local Police with the appointment of 5 new officers. The new officers will continue with one of the highest priority objectives for the government group, the safety of all residents and visitors to the municipality.
In this sense, this improvement represents a significant change in the structure of these Security Forces and Corps because, it goes from a single officer of the Local Police to have a total of 5 new positions in command. This action is in addition to the current selection process that will incorporate 12 new agents, reaching a total of 49 officers compared to the 31 that the Police team had at the beginning of the legislature. Thus, this is in addition to improvements such as the installation of surveillance cameras, the incorporation of the drone unit and the canine unit along with the recovery of the UMA agents.
The mayor of La Oliva and responsible for Public Safety, Isaí Blanco, emphasizes the relevance of the new positions in the Local Police team: “Through these 5 new officers we continue with the commitment that we maintain from the government group to improve security for all residents and visitors to our municipality. The goal is to continue incorporating new officers to add to the current staff that, along with the new measures incorporated, ensure the safety of all citizens.”
For her part, the Councilor for Personnel, Alexandra Martín, says: “Today is an important day for the Local Police of La Oliva and for all our neighbors. The new officers, who have successfully passed the internal selection process, will contribute to strengthen the security of our municipality and to continue offering a quality service to the citizens”.
This action responds to the will of the local government to continue improving security in the municipality, increasing the presence of agents and thus ensuring the welfare of all citizens.
