The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the areas of Accessibility and Sports, continues to promote adapted Canarian wrestling on the island. In this way, in collaboration with the Insular Federation of Canarian Wrestling and the association ADIVIA, a new Adapted Canarian Wrestling Day will be held, an inclusive activity designed to bring this traditional sport to all citizens, with special attention to people with functional diversity.
The day will be held on Friday, September 12, at the wrestling arena of Puerto del Rosario, from 10.00 to 13.00 hours. During this day, participants will be able to learn and practice Lucha Canaria in an adapted, safe and inclusive environment. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the local culture and sport, promoting participation, inclusion and equal opportunities.
This activity is open to the general public and does not require previous experience. All information can be obtained by calling 645 630 943 and e-mailing adiviafuerteventura@gmail.com.
The Councilor for Accessibility, Carmen Alonso, and the Councilor for Sports, Luis González, highlight the importance of this activity within the commitment of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura for the promotion of inclusion and the dissemination of indigenous sports.
