The music series returns on June 7 with a second, more ambitious edition in a new space by the sea and with a line-up headed by Tu Otra Bonita, Marta Soto, Querido and Luis Quintana.
After the resounding success of its first edition in 2023, which brought together artists such as Marwán, Siloé, Dácil Santana from Gran Canaria and Julia Rodríguez from Majorca, the FuerteAutor festival returns in 2025 with renewed strength and a proposal that grows in quality, social commitment and cultural projection.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 7, in a new and privileged location: the surroundings of the Interpretation Center of the Lime Kilns of Puerto del Rosario, a large space, open to the sea and with greater capacity to accommodate an increasingly loyal audience. This change not only improves the logistical and acoustic conditions of the event, but also places the festival in one of the most representative heritage sites of the capital of Puerto del Rosario.
Organized by the City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Culture, FuerteAutor maintains its essence as a cycle of light music and author, where the word, emotion and closeness are protagonists. A bet that positions the capital as a cultural and tourist reference on the island, with a festival model that values talent, landscape and local products.
The line-up for this second edition is headed by the group Tu Otra Bonita, one of the most unclassifiable bands on the current music scene, thanks to its unique fusion of styles ranging from indie to flamenco, rumba and the most lively pop. With songs like Alegría de vivir, which went gold and was the anthem of a well-known TV campaign, or Alitas de mar with Juanito Makandé, the band from Madrid promises a live show full of energy and emotion.
She is followed by Marta Soto, a reference of the new singer-songwriter in Spain. The Huelva artist arrives in Fuerteventura in full tour of his latest EP Paso a Paso, a work where he reviews different phases of love and life with his usual sensitivity. With hits like Dirás, Entre otros cien or Quiero verte, her performance will be an invitation to disconnect from the daily noise and dive into an emotional journey.
The public will also be able to enjoy the emerging talent of Querido, the band led by Andrés Ferreiro -son of the legendary Iván Ferreiro-, which with just one album on the market has already caught the attention of critics and audiences thanks to its deep lyrics and its sound between alternative pop and introspection. Closing the line-up is singer-songwriter Luis Quintana, an established figure on the Canary Islands and national scene, with more than 30 years of experience, and a voice that mixes the wisdom of experience with a sensitivity that connects with the audience from the first chord.
In addition to the musical proposal, FuerteAutor 2025 incorporates this year an important aspect of solidarity: all profits generated by the bar of the event will go to the ASOMASAMEN Association, in recognition of his tireless work in the field of mental health in Fuerteventura. A decision that reinforces the committed and transformative character of the festival.
The experience is completed with a KM-0 gastronomic area in which the renowned Majorero chef Yarely Pérez Vera, from the restaurant La Puipana in Puerto del Rosario, will offer dishes made with local products that will highlight the flavor of the island and its local cuisine.
And for those who wish to accompany their musical and gastronomic experience with a toast, the festival will also have a wine bar, offering a careful selection of the best wines from Fuerteventura and the rest of the Canary archipelago, creating a perfect pairing with the culinary proposal and the spirit of celebration of this edition.
FuerteAutor 2025 is free and open to all audiences. Live music, signature cuisine, social awareness and a privileged enclave in front of the sea combine in this second edition to make the capital majorera epicenter of the music of author in the Canary Islands.
