Fires, open-air dances and a big bonfire at the San Juan festivities in Pozo Negro
– The image of San Juan returns to Pozo Negro for its festivities and coastal procession.

Pozo Negro is decked out to receive from Thursday 19 to Monday June 23 its patron saint festivities in honor of San Juan, saint who will preside over all the festivities, starring the second coastal procession of this town by the sea on Sunday 22 from 13:30 hours.
The festivities of San Juan in Pozo Negro are initiated by a town-born town crier, whose life as a sailor has made him observe and star in the development of such a unique and familiar place as Pozo Negro, says Mayor Matías Peña García, the first natural harbor of the island and the beach of so many families in the municipality.
The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Festivities offers an intense program, announces the councilman of area, Pedro M. Armas Martin, begins with the opening speech followed by the traditional sardinada popular for all attendees.

For the second year in a row, Pozo Negro celebrates a coastal procession in honor of San Juan on Sunday at noon, welcomed by the entire village and parranderas performances.
