The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, highlights: “An event such as the Holi Colour Festival emphasizes, once again, on the cultural richness that we enjoy in our municipality. From the City Council of La Oliva, we invite both our neighbors and tourists who are these days in Fuerteventura to enjoy this meeting in which the Hindu culture takes the streets of Corralejo”.
For his part, the councilman of Tourism, David Fajardo, says: “This is a great opportunity not only to publicize the multiculturalism of our municipality, but to enrich our tourist offer by promoting cultural exchange. The cultural richness, the exquisite gastronomy and the joy of an event like Holi will attract visitors to our municipality to celebrate this multicultural encounter for all audiences.”
Finally, the representative of the Hindustani Club of Fuerteventura, Aman Jaising Harpalani, says: “From the organization of the Fuerteventura Holi Colour Festival, we want to invite everyone – Majoreros and visitors – to celebrate with us a unique day that pays tribute to cultural diversity. Holi, known as the festival of colors, symbolizes the arrival of good weather and an opportunity to leave behind the negative and start again with joy.”
