The crews of ‘Fuerteventura, beautiful by nature’ carry out an intense raid after the conclusion of the festival to return the environment of La Concha to its natural state.
El Cotillo held this weekend the festival Fuerteventura En Música (FEM 2025), one of the most anticipated events on the island and a cultural experience that attracts thousands of people from other islands. Today Monday, the crews of ‘Fuerteventura, beautiful by nature’ perform an intense beating to return the environment of the beach of La Concha to its natural state.
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura from the service of Works and Machinery, collaborates with other services of the Cabildo and the City Council of La Oliva in the recovery of normality in El Cotillo.
The cleaning works, which have been carried out with manual means, have facilitated the removal of 4 cubic meters of garbage. The crews have carried out the work with special attention to detail to avoid any impact of the festival in this natural environment so emblematic and defining of Fuerteventura.
Last week the crews had already been incorporated into the preparations for the festival with the thorough cleaning and conditioning of the surroundings of the beach of La Concha where the main stage was located.
The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Lola Garcia, has highlighted the coordination between the different areas of the Cabildo and the City Council to maintain the environment in perfect condition, “because we are clear that the use and enjoyment of space always has to be in constant balance with environmental respect and without leaving a trace”.
The Councilor for Works and Machinery, Blas Acosta, then pointed out the “importance of taking care of our natural environment and our emblematic landscapes, while we must make their enjoyment compatible with enriching activities such as the FEM”.
Thousands of people attended the festival Fuerteventura En Música (FEM 2025), one of the most anticipated events on the island organized by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the Department of Culture, with the collaboration, and in this edition also co-financing of the City Council of La Oliva, as well as the cooperation of the different areas of the island Corporation. During the weekend, the festival grounds and surroundings were in perfect condition, thanks to the work that has been done thanks to the coordination between the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the City Council of La Oliva from the departments of Cleaning and Environment.
