Caleta de Fuste recovers the figure of the giant Loom in a main traffic circle
– The ornamental action plan for identifying figures at traffic circles in Caleta de Fuste and Costa de Antigua, recovers the giant loom at the main access to the upper part of El Castillo.
The Mayor, Matias Peña and the Councilor for Historical Heritage, Sandra Torres, have visited the figure of the Loom in the traffic circle access to the market and upper part of El Castillo.
A Loom that is an attraction and curiosity for the many tourists who visit the town of Caleta de Fuste, beautifying the traffic circle and this main access, and adds the mayor, being part of the Ornamental Recovery Plan in traffic circles starring decoration identifying traditions, trades and elements of the Municipality.
A loom designed by the master craftsman, Pepe Melián, which identifies one of the most common trades in the Municipality of Antigua, in times when craftsmanship provided the elements, tools and fabrics needed by each family in each home, says Councilwoman Sandra Torres.
The Department of Historical Heritage has completed this action of recovery and ornamental beautification in the traffic circles of Costa de Antigua and Caleta de Fuste, recovering the figures of the giant timple, the lantern or candle and now this beautiful loom, adds Torres.
We will continue working on the recovery of our historical heritage, concludes the councilor, both recovering figures or symbolism of the same, as cataloging the main points to protect in the municipality.
