Antigua’s Night Walk surprises with dramatized narration of stories that took place on the trail years ago
– Caldos to start and barbecue on arrival at the Night Walk organized by the City Council of Antigua this Saturday from Valles de Ortega to Tiscamanita.
This has to be repeated, was the most heard comment at the end of the night walk, which began in Valles de Ortega tasting wines from the vineyards of Jacobo Negrín and ended in Tiscamanita around the embers of a barbecue to regain strength.
On the way, late at night and by the light of a lantern, the hikers enjoyed a dramatized narration in which they discovered mysteries, stories and the reasons, whether for work, emergencies or secret love affairs that many, years ago, motivated them to walk the same routes at those dark hours.
The walks organized by the City Council of Antigua from the departments of Youth and Sports, is part of the successful program Antigua moves, free registration always fifteen days before departure.
The City Council of Antigua provides travel, guides and whatever is necessary for the greatest enjoyment of all participants, and recalls the mayor, Matias Peña, a total of seven routes that allow trails and paths, knowing something more of its history, anecdotes and characteristics.
The routes proposed so far have been from Antigua to Valle Santa Inés, from Corralejo to Lajares, participating in the last event held in the Gambuesa del Alto del Jurado and now in this entertaining Night Walk from Valles de Ortega to Tiscamanita, says the Councillor for Sports, Samuel Torres.
The following walks from July to September, explains councilman Pedro M. Armas, will be from Guisguey to La Caldereta in July, from Antigua to Morro Janana and Agua de Bueyes in September and from Pájara to Cardón in mid-October.
