Antigua subsidizes sonar for fishermen and covers dead animal removal insurance for livestock farmers
Antigua pays 100% of the subsidies granted in advance
– The primary sector subsidy of the Municipality of Antigua favors the improvement of irrigation systems and agricultural production, compatible with the environment and food safety.
– Antigua allocates 150,000 euros to subsidies aimed at promoting agricultural, livestock and fishing activities and supporting professionals in the municipality.
– The Grant includes a fixed amount of 9,000 euros for the maintenance of the coastal goat by the Commissioner of the Commonwealth in the Municipality.
– The deadline for applications is Thursday, July 24, inclusive.
The BOP Las Palmas published today, Wednesday July 9, the Call for Grants in Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries in the Municipality, allocating for this purpose, the City Council of Antigua from the Department of the primary sector an economic item of 150,000 euros.
The objective of these subsidies is to promote agricultural, livestock and fishing activities in the municipality, as well as to support professionals in the sector, says the mayor, Matías Peña García, paying up to 100% of a justified action and paying 100% of the subsidy granted in advance.
We want to boost the sector in the municipality, recover crops, support livestock and support fishermen, says the councilman of the primary sector, Fernando Estupiñán Hernández, because supporting this sector is to support families, jobs, fresh and quality products of zero kilometer, and even beautify the island.
The Grant is part of the Strategic Plan of aid to the sector 2023/2025, allocating in the current year, 37,500 euros to Agriculture, 97,500 euros to the Livestock sector and 15,000 euros to Fisheries. The City Council of Antigua minimizes the application process and provides advice to the interested person, self-employed or company that requires it. Applications may be submitted until July 24, inclusive, always through the Entry Register in Antigua, the Mayor’s Office in Caleta de Fuste or through the electronic site at www.ayto-antigua.es.
