Antigua opens the deadline to apply for Education Subsidies
– Antigua allocates 45,000 euros to support the costs of accommodation and transportation for students studying off-island, as well as support for the purchase of educational materials and textbooks.
– The deadline for submitting applications is August 4, inclusive, of this year.
– The Antigua Town Hall has the Education Department to advise and resolve any doubts interested students may have.
The Town Council of Antigua from the Department of Education announces the opening of the deadline for submitting applications for Education Grants 2025, since the publication of the corresponding Call for Applications in the BOP Las Palmas Num.84 This July, and which can also be consulted on the Town Hall Bulletin Board and Website, at the Caleta de Fuste Mayor’s Office, at the Municipal Library and at the Cultural Centers of Agua de Bueyes, Valles de Ortega, Casillas de Morales, Triquivijate and Caleta de Fuste.
The Councilor of Education, América Soto Betancor, adds that it can also be consulted in person at the Department of the area in the Municipal Consistory of the City Council of Antigua, having the technical team to advise and resolve doubts to interested students, or by calling 928 168170, in order to facilitate the submission of the application, before the deadline, next August 4, inclusive.

The Subsidy in Education supports the costs of 2024/2025 of accommodation or transportation for students studying outside the island or the Municipality of Antigua, details the mayor, Matías Peña García, as well as the purchase of school supplies and textbooks for the 2025/2026 academic year. The objective is clear, to support students and their families in the municipality, supporting and facilitating as much as possible their training and continuity.
