Antigua opens the application period for school transportation for high school and vocational training students.
– Antigua guarantees the School Transportation in its Municipal Budget with an item of 125,000 euros, solving the transfer and pick-up in the morning and afternoon-evening of students who study outside the municipality, says the mayor, Matias Peña.
– The buses contracted for this purpose run a route that guarantees transportation and pick-up of students at noon and in the afternoon-evening.
– The deadline to apply for a place through the Registrar’s Office begins on Monday, June 9 and ends on Friday, July 11.

In past years we decided to extend the schedule of this service, transferring and picking up students in the morning but especially in the afternoon-evening, providing peace of mind to their families on their return home, and adds the mayor, Matias Peña, to this end the recently approved Municipal Budget includes an item of 125,000 euros to ensure this School Transport.
The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Education offers this free daily school transportation service to students who study outside the municipality, encouraging families and young people, maintain and continue their studies, says the councilor of the area, America Soto Betancor, avoiding this cost.
The Councilor for Education, America Soto, recalls that applications from students of high school or vocational training, residents in the municipality who want to get a place in the school bus service, must submit, among other documents, the certificate or proof of enrollment duly stamped, an original passport-sized photograph, photocopy of the ID of the person concerned and guardians, as well as the forms duly completed and signed.
The application must be submitted through the Entry Register at the Antigua Town Hall, the Mayor’s Office in Caleta de Fuste or through the electronic office www.ayto-antigua.es. The councilor points out that the Education Department is at the disposal of the applicants for further information or to help them with whatever they may need to submit their application, either in person or by calling 928168170.
