Antigua launches a new edition of the International Compak Sporting Cup
– The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Sports begins to coordinate with the head of the Morro Negro Shooting Range, the fourth edition of the International Compak Sporting Cup.
The Mayor of Antigua, Matias Peña, the Councillor for Sports, Samuel Torres and the representative of the International Compak Sporting Cup, Oliver Martin, have held a first meeting to begin preparations for a new edition to be held later this year.
Since the first edition we have turned to this Cup that exceeds in each edition its record of registration with the best shooters of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura, as well as different autonomous communities and international provinces, says the mayor.
The Municipality of Antigua hosts national and regional shooting champions, and a significant number of prominent shooters and known among the fans of the Compak Sporting modality, says the Councillor for Sports, Samuel Torres, and this without having its own municipal shooting range, something we are working on and defending proposals for a location that meets all the criteria required by the island and regional regulations.
In its last edition, the International Compak Sporting Cup registered close to a hundred entries, with shooters from all the Canary Islands, several autonomous communities, as well as countries such as Germany and Finland.
This Cup has become a benchmark in the Shooters Circuit and will be after the summer that we present the poster for its next edition, and adds the Councillor for Sports, Antigua provides the support they need and the shooters create the magnificent atmosphere of fellowship and family, which is the key to its success.
