Antigua hosts the APM Test of the Canary Islands Field Work Circuit for Pointing Dogs
– The APM club organizes the collaboration of the Sociedad de Cazadores Unión de Antigua and the Antigua Town Hall, among other institutions.
– The Canarian and Fuerteventura Hunting Federations, as well as the Federation of Canine Associations support the trial and its results.
– Participants from all the islands come together to showcase the skill and mastery of their dogs.
This Sunday July 27th from 08:00 to 14:00 hours, the Field Work Test for Pointing Dogs organized by the APM club in Tacha Blanca with the collaboration of the Sociedad de Cazadores Unión Antigua and the Town Hall of Antigua, in addition to the support of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the Canary Hunting Federation, the Fuerteventura Island Federation and the Fuerteventura Canine Associations Federation.
A regional championship that takes place in Tacha Blanca and is part of the Canary Circuit of sporting events of hunting without death with training dogs of competitors participating from all the Canary Islands.
The best field dogs from all the Canary Islands participate in this trial, demonstrating their marking and tracking skills and their complicity with the hunter-owner who guides them.
Collaborating with the Sociedad de Cazadores Unión Antigua is a constant from the Municipality of Antigua, which corresponds in turn, with the commitment that the hunting society shows in numerous environmental and sanitary actions in the field, which are carried out throughout the year in the municipality, says Mayor Matias Peña.
The APM Club seeks throughout the Canary Islands the selectivity of the best show dogs, valuing qualities such as their tenacity or balance with their driver, with the aim of highlighting the best dogs from the Canary Islands or from different countries that are in our archipelago.
