Antigua City Council and the Arena y Laurisilva Women’s Association promote sisterhood, support networks and counseling
– This Thursday, July 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the classrooms of the Plaza de Antigua, the workshop “Sorority and support networks among women: Weaving alliances to sustain ourselves.
The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Social Services develops with the Federation of Women’s Associations Arena Laurisilva the School of Empowerment, organizing in each locality different training and practical talks with which to advise, provide resources and create a support network, details the mayor, Matias Peña Garcia.
In this objective next Thursday, July 24, announces the councilor of the area, America Soto Betancor, is organized in the classrooms next to the Plaza de Antigua, the open and free workshop on Sorority and support networks among women.
The School of Empowerment for women, adds the councilor, comprises a total of eight different workshops that will be held in different locations of the Municipality of Antigua to facilitate attendance to anyone interested in participating.
The workshop scheduled for Thursday in Antigua will deal with situations and social circumstances oriented to competitiveness, giving the perspective and resources to change these behavioral structures in everyday life, especially regarding women, concludes América Soto.
