The Plenary of the Puerto del Rosario City Council recently approved the Annual Regulatory Plan, a strategic document that reinforces the role of municipal ordinances and regulations as key tools for a modern, efficient, transparent and public service oriented local administration.
The central purpose of the new plan is to improve the quality of local regulations, ensuring that the rules are clear, understandable and adapted to the current reality of the municipality, in addition to respecting the current legal framework and the principles of legal certainty, participation and good governance.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, stressed during the plenary session that “this regulatory plan reflects our commitment to an efficient, transparent and citizen-centered administration. The municipal regulations are an expression of democratic will and a key tool to transform the municipality and improve the lives of our neighbors”.
For his part, the Councilman of Economy and Finance, Juan Manuel Verdugo, pointed out that “the approval of this plan consolidates a more coordinated, technical and results-oriented regulatory management model. We want the regulations to truly respond to the needs of the municipality, eliminating unnecessary burdens and promoting a more agile and functional administration”.
The Plan establishes specific objectives such as:
- Strengthen the role of ordinances and regulations as instruments at the service of citizens.
- Ensure the clarity, consistency and technical quality of municipal standards.
- Promote transparency and citizen participation in the preparation of regulations.
- Adapt the local regulatory framework to social, technological and economic changes.
- Improve the internal organization of the City Council and public services.
The active participation of the different municipal departments, together with the promotion of citizen consultation, will make this regulatory process more inclusive and representative. The Plan will also be available on the municipal website to facilitate public consultation and monitoring.
With this approval, the City Council of Puerto del Rosario takes another step forward in its commitment to modern and responsible governance, where the rules become an instrument of continuous improvement and service to the community.
