Congratulations to the Obycat group in Caleta de Fuste for achieving the Golden Beaches distinction in Destination Blue.
– The award will be presented to them on September 27, coinciding with World Tourism Day.
The City Council of Antigua proposed in the Tourist Board, among other companies, the Catamaran Excursion Obycat Group for the Distinguished Awards of Fuerteventura Tourism 2025 and we are pleased to congratulate this company located in Caleta de Fuste, for receiving the distinction Gold Beaches in Blue Destination category, says the mayor, Matias Peña Garcia.
A company that started small and has expanded in its offer and locations, says Matías Peña, generating employment, promoting respect and marine conservation, and also betting on offering inclusive, accessible and adapted experiences for the enjoyment of an international and family audience.
The Distinction will be presented to them on September 27th, coinciding with World Tourism Day, a recognition that we consider fair and necessary, says the Councilor for Tourism, Kristina Rodewig, in view of their constant growth and expansion, their commitment to the environment, especially in the marine environment, and their willingness to always collaborate with public events in the town of Caleta de Fuste related to the Marina.
Since its creation in 2013 in Caleta de Fuste, the Obycat Catamaran Group has stood out for its innovative and distinctive approach, which has made it possible to diversify and enrich the island’s maritime and sports leisure offer.
Its exemplary evolution, she adds, from a small 12-seater catamaran to a complete fleet of vessels, tourist submarines and comprehensive land transportation services, demonstrates an ambitious and sustainable vision, deeply respectful of the natural environment, incorporating clean technologies and efficient vessels that minimize their impact and respect the marine environment.
