Majorero cuisine and flavors return from September 21 to 23 to the Ischia Safari Fair, the largest gastronomic showcase in Europe, in which more than 10,000 professionals from the sector participate.
The Italian island becomes the heart of the kitchen. Chefs and professionals from all over the world come together to celebrate the culinary experience, with an edition particularly committed, not only for the quality offered, but for its attention to the most current issues of the sector, as a debate on future challenges and opportunities in the world of food and wine, with a special focus on sustainability and innovation.
Renowned chefs and producers of Fuerteventura will participate, with the support of the Department of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the Tourist Board.
In this way, Fuerteventura will have a space in the gourmet area, not only with the aim of disseminating the local product, but also creating synergies with industry professionals. The participants will present elaborations with their own identity, through the ongoing exploration of local products, the so-called zero kilometer and its differentiating characteristics, such as its volcanic nature.
Chefs Daniel Fajardo (Casa Marcos) and Vincenzo di Constazo (Hotel Royal Palm Fuerteventura) will present elaborations 100% local product, will perform the recipes and plating in situ for the audience. In addition, as a result of the collaboration with Finca Puipana, will be offered the famous goat jerky, with the participation of the best cutter in the world, named Ambassador of Fuerteventura, José Prieto (Josele e Hijos SA).
Fuerteventura wines, protagonists in Ischia Safari
In this edition, and taking advantage of the fact that the Majuelo association celebrates its eighth anniversary of trajectory, will have a prominent role majoreras wine productions attached to the Designation of Origin Canary Islands, such as Conatvs and Gavia del Sordo, through the transfer of wines from the last harvest. Both wineries will have a preferential space during the fair.
In addition, cheeses with Designation of Origin (DEO) of Fuerteventura, Majorero distillates and local products such as spirulina and carob VIDALOE, as well as extra virgin olive oils from the island will be exhibited.
