The Plenary of the Cabildo has unanimously approved the modification of credits amounting to almost 1.6 million euros to support actions aimed at security and emergencies, roads or support for local sports, as reported by the Councilor for Finance and Economic Promotion, Nuria Cabrera.
In this way, funding is directed to the reinforcement and renewal of materials in the field of security and emergencies, an area directed by Councilor Lolina Negrín, for the acquisition of computer tools and applications for the operation of CECOPIN, furniture for the operational base of firefighters of El Cuchillete, as well as the maintenance of the fleet of vehicles of the Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting and Rescue Service, and other elements for rescue.
In the area of Sports, directed by Luis González, part of the funding is directed to support actions of the Insular Federation of Bola Canaria and the Fuerteventura Federation of Lucha Canaria, within the sports promotion program 2025.
Likewise, funding is available for the surface rehabilitation of the road surface of the FV-2 road: Pecenescal-Glorieta de Las Gaviotas junction, promoted by the Road Service, headed by Blas Acosta. This is a fundamental work to improve the infrastructure, guaranteeing the safety and efficiency of the road.
