The Pájara City Council Highlights the Participation of La Pared Livestock, Ganaderos de Fuerteventura Group, and Oasis Wildlife in the Event
The municipality of Pájara celebrates the national recognition of its local producers at the Gourmet Salon 2025, one of the most important events in the agri-food sector at the national level. This year, Majorero producers have achieved significant triumphs, with distinctions that highlight the quality and excellence of local production.
The Councilor for Primary Sector, José Manuel Díaz, notes that these awards reflect the effort and dedication of local producers. “From the Pájara City Council, we will continue to support the primary sector as an essential pillar of our local economy. The awards obtained highlight the work of local producers and complement the recognition of Majorero cheese, which continues to gain visibility at the national level thanks to the collective effort of Fuerteventura’s livestock sector.”
For his part, the Mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, congratulates all the winners, emphasizing the importance of these distinctions for the municipality. “These recognitions strengthen the identity of the municipality, a place where tradition and innovation combine to continue offering products that are synonymous with quality and authenticity.”
In this edition, La Pared livestock has been awarded the third prize in the category of semi-cured paprika cheese made with raw goat’s milk, which highlights the island’s gastronomic heritage. Additionally, the Ganaderos de Fuerteventura group has received three important awards: gold medals for Selectum mixed cheese and Maxorata cured export cheese, and silver for pasteurized cured goat cheese.
Furthermore, the participation of Oasis Wildlife in the event was highlighted, which presented innovative products made with camel milk, standing out especially for their quality and health value. Among the proposals most valued by the public, an innovative ambrosia based on camel milk and chocolate captivated attendees.
