From the City Council of Puerto del Rosario we want to congratulate all those who, in one way or another, made possible the staging of the play “La tienda”, held on Wednesday night, July 23, in the historic village of Casillas del Angel.
The participating neighbors recreated, in a masterful way, the atmosphere, uses and customs so common in those times, where the stores of the towns and neighborhoods became meeting points for the neighborhood.
These establishments were not only places to acquire basic products such as oil and vinegar, which were sold in bulk, measured precisely in liters or quarts, but also spaces for socializing where stories, news and daily life were shared.
Congratulations! for this magnificent representation that has transported us to a time when barter, trust and personal treatment were the soul of local commerce.
