The presentation will take place on July 23rd at the Centro Insular de Juventud, in an event open to the public to learn the details of a document aimed at universal accessibility on the island.
The Cabildo, through the area of Accessibility, has completed the development of the Fuerteventura Accessibility Plan. A strategic document whose objective is to gradually make accessible the existing environments and services on the island, so that all people can use them comfortably, freely, safely and independently.
The Fuerteventura Accessibility Plan will be presented next Wednesday, July 23, at 17.00 hours, at the Insular Youth Center, in an event open to all interested persons.
The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Lola Garcia, and the Councilor for Accessibility, Carmen Alonso, emphasize that, with the aim of achieving the maximum possible consensus, the Island Accessibility Plan has been developed with the participation of municipalities, citizens, social groups, representatives of the professional sector of accessibility, transport and business, among other areas.
In this sense, both Garcia and Alonso invite all interested persons to attend the presentation of the document, with the aim of responding to the real needs of the people of Fuerteventura. This document defines strategic actions, as well as short, medium and long term objectives to achieve universal accessibility for all people, as a cross-cutting element that covers different areas.
