On Monday, July 14, will begin the Summer Camp and Sport 2025, an initiative promoted by the City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Sports. This proposal aims to facilitate family reconciliation during the summer period, while offering children between 6 and 12 years old a safe, educational and playful environment for their development.
The presentation ceremony, held on Thursday morning, July 10, was attended by the Mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, the Councilor for Sports, Luis Chacón, and the manager of the company awarded the contract, Adasat Alonso, representing GRUPO TAFOR CANARIAS SLU, who emphasized the importance of this type of initiative for children and the firm commitment of the City Council to quality and safety in the development of children’s activities.
Service award
The contract called “Management Service of the Summer Camp and Sports Camp 2025 of the Municipality of Puerto del Rosario” has been awarded to the company GRUPO TAFOR CANARIAS SLU (CIF: B76619055) for an amount of 36,379.28 €, charged to the budget application 28/34000/22612 – Sports Schools.
The City Council, through the Sports Department, has worked intensively in the planning of the camp, coordinating the admission process and formalization of enrollment for the months of July and August. All registered families have already been notified and are on the final list of those admitted. In accordance with the current Tax Ordinance, a registration fee of 90 € has been established to complete the enrollment process.
Information meeting for families
In order to provide all the necessary information about the development of the camp, families are invited to an informative meeting on Friday, July 11 at 6:00 p.m., at the Oasis Municipal Pavilion. During the meeting, there will be a guided tour of the facilities and possible doubts will be resolved.
Facilities and activities
The camp will be held from July 14 to August 30, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., at various facilities in the municipality:
- Los Pozos Municipal Stadium: Outdoor and indoor activities.
- Oasis Municipal Pavilion: Indoor sports activities.
- Terrero de Lucha Puerto de Cabras: Traditional games and scenic activities.
- Playa de Los Pozos and Biblio-playa: Recreational, educational and reading promotion activities.
- Las Granadas facilities: Sports such as tennis and paddle tennis.
Complementary services
- Dining room: from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
- Permanence: from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. (to support family reconciliation)
