The hunting seasons, conditions, means and limitations for the practice of small game hunting can be consulted in the Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands.
The order establishing the hunting seasons for the 2025 season has already been published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands by the Government of the Canary Islands. An order that also establishes the conditions, means and limitations for its exercise in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands, and that can be consulted in the Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands of Monday, June 30, 2025.
In Fuerteventura, periods and working days by species and modality are determined as follows:
Hunting without a gun and without trapping will take place on Thursdays and Sundays from July 6 to September 25 (24 days), with a maximum of two pointing dogs for the brown partridge and the feral pigeon.
For the hunting with capture of rabbits only with dog, Sundays are established from August 31 to September 21 (4 days). In the case of hunting with capture of rabbits with dog and ferret, Sundays are established from September 28 to October 26 (5 days). The limit is two pieces per hunter and day, and four dogs maximum. In no case, teams will be admitted.
On the other hand, the hunting with a gun for partridge and wild pigeon with a pointing dog and shotgun or bow will be on Sundays from September 28th to October 26th (5 days). The limit is two pieces per hunter and day, and four dogs maximum. In no case, teams will be admitted.
