Morro Jable, Costa Calma, Butihondo and El Matorral renew this recognition for water quality, safety and accessibility in their bathing areas.
The City Council of Pájara held today, June 27, the ceremony of raising the Blue Flag on the beach of Morro Jable, in an event that once again highlights the international recognition of the quality, safety, accessibility and environmental sustainability of its bathing areas.
The councilman of Beaches, Raimundo Dacosta, stressed that “receiving again this distinctive in our main beaches demonstrates the constant work from the City Council and with the collaboration of the various services is done to ensure clean, safe and attractive environments for residents and visitors”.
For its part, the Councillor for the Environment, Angeles Acosta, stressed that “this recognition not only makes us proud, but requires us to continue improving”. She also added that “we are committed to a sustainable tourism model and beaches that are accessible and of high quality all year round”.
For yet another year, the beaches of Costa Calma, Morro Jable, Butihondo and El Matorral proudly wear this badge, awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education to destinations that meet strict criteria for water quality, environmental management, service and facilities.
