From July 5 to 27, the City Council will facilitate rabies vaccination and microchip implantation in cultural centers and schools in the municipality.
The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Animal Welfare, launches a new Vaccination Campaign for Dogs and Cats, with the aim of promoting the welfare and protection of pets in the municipality.
The campaign will run from July 5 to 27 in different cultural centers and schools in the municipality, thus facilitating access to citizens.
The services and rates established are as follows:
- Rabies vaccine: 10€.
- Microchip placement + rabies vaccination: 30€.
The initiative is aimed at residents in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario, who must prove their residence by presenting the National Identity Card (DNI) or a municipal certificate of residence, as well as presenting the veterinary record of the corresponding animal.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, stressed that “this campaign not only facilitates compliance with legal obligations in terms of identification and vaccination, but also represents a firm commitment of the City Council with animal welfare and responsible ownership”.
For her part, the Councilor for Animal Welfare, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, points out that “we wanted to bring this service closer to the neighborhoods and villages of the municipality to make it more accessible to all families who have animals, thus facilitating responsible care and health prevention”.
⚠️ Important! Identifying your pet with a microchip and having its vaccination up to date is mandatory by law.
🚫 Failure to comply with this may be considered a serious infraction and carries penalties of up to €50,000.
