The City Council of La Oliva, through the area of Prevention of the Department of Social Services, led by Joana Perez Carreño, inaugurates the Inclusive Camp 2025. The success in the number of registrations for this activity demonstrates the growing interest of families for inclusion, fun and personal development of the smallest and smallest of the municipality.
The camp, which will be held at the Municipal Shelter of El Cohombrillo, is aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old and will run from June 30 to July 4. It should be noted, in turn, that the initiative has reserved places for children with disabilities, thus ensuring equal participation and access of all children to enriching experiences on equal terms.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, stresses the need to continue promoting this type of activities among children: “The development of the Inclusive Camp is vital to continue advancing as a society. This activity shows that inclusion is not an option, but an essential part within our citizenship, a matter of great relevance for the government group and in which we will continue working to ensure equity between boys and girls of our municipality.”
For her part, the Councilor for Social Services, Joana Pérez Carreño, thanked the families for their response and highlighted the City Council’s commitment to inclusion: “This camp is a reflection of the model of society we want to build: a diverse, supportive and inclusive community, where every child has the opportunity to enjoy, learn and grow without barriers. We are very excited about the reception of this initiative, which we already had a first experience in the Christmas camp, and we will continue working to offer spaces of coexistence and well-being for everyone.”
The success of this event reinforces the municipality’s commitment to social policies that promote integration, active participation and the right to leisure for all children.
