Antigua se mueve opens registration for the Night Walk from Valles de Ortega to Tiscamanita
– About twenty hikers from Antigua participated in the hike to the Alto del Jurado last Saturday.
– Antigua se Mueve proposes a new route, this time at night from Valles de Ortega to Tiscamanita, with registration deadline until next Monday, June 23.
– Registrations are always free of charge and the Town Hall of Antigua provides transportation, experienced guides and the final plastering.
The hiking program, Antigua se mueve, organized by the City Council of Antigua from the departments of Youth and Sports, held last Saturday its third route, with hikers participating in the hike in the Gambuesa in Alto del Jurado.
A direct experience with the ranchers of the Mancomún who indicated the positions, points and milestones from where with their can and bag, in this case backpack, they reinforced the apañada held last Saturday in the Alto del jurado.
Between goats and apañada the third route of Antigua se Mueve was held, with about twenty participants walkers, who after climbing to the Alto and collect the goats and their baifos, did not miss the final snack to regain strength, discuss the moments and start the return, details the mayor, Matias Peña, who congratulates the walkers and thanks the farmers, their indications and collaboration.
The councilmen promoting Antigua se mueve, for Sports, Samuel Torres, and for Youth, Pedro M. Armas, consider the 2025 walking program a success, which covers all the places in each new proposed route.
The next route proposes to walk at night along the path from Valles de Ortega to Tiscamanita, always accompanied by a guide who will be telling legends, history and characteristics of each step.
Registration for the Night Route must be formalized by registering at the Antigua Town Hall, Caleta de Fuste Mayor’s Office or online at the website www.ayto-antigua.es with a deadline until next Monday, June 23, inclusive.
