The City Council of La Oliva, through the binomial of the Department of Environment and Tourism, under the command of David Fajardo, proceeds to the removal of obsolete signage in the municipality, focusing on the villages of Corralejo, Los Lajares and El Cotillo. This action responds to the desire to address the visual impact caused by public and private signs in disuse in the different villages of the area.
The outdated signage that no longer fulfills any signaling function generates a great visual noise for locals and visitors, becoming a waste in the municipality. In this sense, the operators of Environment have already begun with this action that will continue over time in order to continue eliminating this type of waste, thus promoting the cleanliness and care of the territory.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, says: “For us the work done from the binomial Environment and Tourism remains a priority because the care of our environment is a fact that we can not overlook, both for locals and visitors to the place. The removal of obsolete signage is undoubtedly an improvement in the image of our municipality, as we eliminate those useless elements that disfigure our villages and are a waste to the natural environment.”
For his part, the councilman of Environment and Tourism, David Fajardo, highlights the need to maintain continuous monitoring of such elements: “The operators of the area will maintain a regular work regarding the removal of both public and private posters that are outdated. From the Council is an action of great importance because, dealing with this type of waste improves the image of our town in favor of a clean and clean environment and conscious with nature.”
In addition, “Through the joint work of both councils we mark our seal of identity in La Oliva, in which we do not contemplate tourism or any other action that is not conscious and responsible with our natural environment” emphasizes Fajardo.
