The Department of Economic Promotion of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario organizes on Friday, June 13, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, the Day of Economic Technification, Education and Labor Market, an event that will take place in the Plaza de la Paz and will bring together experts from the educational, business and institutional sectors with the aim of analyzing and discussing the challenges and opportunities of the current and future labor market.
During the day, various presentations and round tables will be held with the participation of representatives of the UNED, the Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura, the NFORMAR Canary Islands Group, as well as other institutions and specialists in education, employment and new technologies.
Among the topics to be addressed are:
Emerging job opportunities and current labor market needs.
- Educational excellence as a factor in economic development.
- Artificial intelligence and its application in business and SMEs.
- Job prospects on the island of Fuerteventura as a challenge for the future.
- The event will also have a dynamic area, with the participation of labor intermediation companies and professionals from different economic sectors, as well as students from various training centers on the island. This area will include interactive activities and a musical performance by María Cambeiro, a young artist from Majorca renowned for her emotional piano and voice versions. As part of the program, a documentary on Artificial Intelligence will be screened, followed by an open debate on its implications for employment, reflecting on whether it represents an opportunity or a risk in the current context.
For the mayor, David de Vera, stated that “with this type of initiatives we intend to improve job training, economic excellence and updating of economic, educational and labor resources of Puerto del Rosario”.
The councilman of Economic Promotion, Juan Manuel Verdugo, said that “the objective is to promote initiatives and projects to improve the employability of our neighbors / as improving the capabilities of self-employed and SMEs applied to the productive fabric of the municipality”.
The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Economic Promotion invites citizens to participate in this day, which aims to be a space for meeting, reflection and generation of proposals for a better connection between training, employment and innovation on the island.
