Students from seven study centers prepare the Canarian Cuisine cookbook

– Teachers of the Estela School project deliver to the Mayor of Antigua and the Councilor of Education, the recipe book Canarian Cuisine, prepared by the study centers.
– The Estela school project culminates with the elaboration of a Canarian Cuisine recipe book prepared in four volumes by students from seven schools, being the children in charge of the Desserts Volume, those of First Primary School, the Starters and first courses, those of Sixth Grade, the main courses and those of First Year of High School, the Sauces and Dressings.

Proud to be representatives of a job well done, the teachers and their spokesperson and director of the educational project Estela, Marta Lorenzo Torrent, have delivered to the mayor, Matias Peña and the councilor of area, America Soto, the copies of the recipe book Estela with the Canarian cuisine prepared by students of the study centers of Francisca Pérez in Triquivijate, Alcaldesa Amparo Torres in Betancuria, Gumersindo Martel in Valles de Santa Inés, in addition to the units of Valles de Ortega, Ampuyenta, CEIP El Castillo and the CEO of Antigua.

A recipe book consisting of four volumes prepared by students from five years of kindergarten, in charge of compiling the tastiest Canarian desserts, from the first year of primary school responsible for the first courses, from the sixth year for the main courses and from the first year of ESO, for the Canarian sauces and dressings. The Estela Recipe Book with Canary Island Cuisine can be consulted in the participating schools, as well as on their websites and in the Antigua Library.

The Estela project, subsidized by the Government of the Canary Islands, has been an example, says the mayor, Matías Peña, of the involvement of students, their families and teachers in projects such as Our Star Tree during the past Christmas, Carnavaleando con Estela, making masks, hats and carnival decorations, a Day of Coexistence on the beach of La Guirra in Caleta de Fuste and culminates with this recipe book, the result of a common work compiling recipes and even tasting many of them in the centers.
